Our Story
Guided by expertise, driven by care
Sol Coast Wellness & Performance was created from a shared vision to provide a different kind of healthcare experience, one that looks beyond symptoms and focuses on helping people truly thrive. After meeting in chiropractic school and bonding over a shared passion for holistic health, we quickly recognized a gap in the healthcare landscape. Much of the care we saw was designed for a narrow population or focused solely on symptom management rather than helping people function and perform at their highest level. We knew we wanted to build something different, care that supports people across all stages of life and helps them live, move and feel their best.
Our approach is rooted in supporting the body through the structural, neurological, chemical and emotional components of health, recognizing that true healing and optimal function occur when these systems work together in harmony. By prioritizing the nervous system and restoring balance within the body, we aim to help our patients build resilience, improve function and experience lasting vitality.
When we talk about human performance, we mean performance in every aspect of life. For some, that may mean improving focus and energy to excel as a student or professional. For others, it may look like picking up your grandkids without pain, building strength in the gym, playing your best round of golf, or competing in your local pickleball league. Performance is not reserved for elite athletes, it is about having a body and nervous system that allow you to fully participate in the life you want to live.
The name Sol Coast reflects this philosophy. “Sol” means sun in several languages and has long symbolized light, energy, and life. In music, sol represents a note within a scale that contributes to harmony and balance, an idea that mirrors how the body functions best when its systems are working together in alignment. Just as the sun fuels growth and vitality, our goal is to help restore the internal balance that allows people to heal, adapt and thrive.
Sol Coast was built on the belief that when the body is aligned and the nervous system is supported, people are able to stay active, build resilience, and show up as the best version of themselves. It is an honor to serve the St. Johns community and to walk alongside our patients on their journey toward lasting health and vitality.
Dr. Sarah Mazza
Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Sarah Mazza is a chiropractor and co-founder of Sol Coast Wellness and Performance, where she provides root cause, foundational-based care for families who want to better understand their health and create lasting change. Her clinical approach centers on structural alignment, biochemical balance, and nervous system regulation, helping patients connect how stress, hormones, performance, and overall health interact.
Her path into chiropractic began in high school after navigating painful menstrual cycles, recurring athletic injuries, and a family history of hormone-related health challenges. Through a root cause framework that connected stress physiology, hormones, and musculoskeletal health, she experienced the impact of addressing the whole system rather than isolated symptoms. That experience shaped the direction of her career.
Dr. Mazza studied human physiology in Boston University’s pre-med program while competing as a Division I lacrosse athlete. Balancing high-level athletics with rigorous academics strengthened her understanding of performance, recovery, and resilience. She later earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating as Valedictorian of her class.
Her advanced training includes NeuroEmotional Technique, the Wholistic Methylation (Genetic-based nutrition) Protocol, Contact Reflex Analysis, the Lebowitz Technique and ongoing Webster Certification with additional perinatal-focused education.
Dr. Mazza integrates structural care, biochemical insight, emotional stress regulation, and genetic education through My Happy Genes into individualized care plans. She works with families building strong nervous system foundations, women navigating hormone and life stage transitions, children in key developmental phases, and active adults optimizing performance and longevity.
Her approach is structured, collaborative, and education-focused. She prioritizes systemic regulation, helping individuals restore adaptability so the body can function as designed.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Mazza enjoys staying active, spending time at the beach, and taking their dogs to local parks with Dr. Gorgi. Their lifestyle reflects the same health principles they encourage in the families they serve.
Areas of Focus
Dr. Dustin Gorgi
Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Dustin Gorgi is a chiropractor and co-founder of Sol Coast Wellness and Performance, where he provides root cause, foundational level care in human performance, recovery and the systems that support long-term health. His clinical approach is focused on how the nervous system, biomechanics and lifestyle inputs shape resilience, adaptability and overall function.
Growing up in Canada and playing hockey at the junior and collegiate levels placed him in environments that built a practical understanding of how stress, training demands, nutrition and recovery interact over time. Being part of those cultures reinforced his interest in health optimization, while creating space for ongoing learning around whole-body wellness, performance and recovery.
Chiropractic care became part of Dr. Gorgi’s routine during his athletic years. His path into the profession was not traditional. He first completed a Bachelor of Science in Construction Project Management, where he developed strong analytical thinking, systems-based problem solving and organizational skills. Over time, he realized that long-term fulfillment would come from purpose-driven, people-focused work. With the support of family and friends, he transitioned into chiropractic at Palmer College, where he met his girlfriend and now business partner, Dr. Sarah Mazza. Sharing similar values and clinical philosophies, they went on to build Sol Coast Wellness & Performance together with a focus on thoughtful, individualized care.
Dr. Dustin Gorgi approaches care through a functional, nervous system–focused perspective, recognizing the important relationship between neurological function and biomechanics in understanding pain, movement, and performance. He is currently pursuing advanced training in functional neurology through the Carrick Institute as part of his ongoing diplomate education and has extensive training in extremity adjusting.
Care plans are individualized through detailed assessments, thoughtful chiropractic care and the strategic use of supportive therapeutic modalities. Patients also receive guidance on lifestyle factors and education around how cumulative stressors can influence recovery, performance, and overall health.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Gorgi enjoys golfing, skiing when visiting home in Canada, and spending time outdoors with Dr. Mazza and their two dogs. At Sol Coast, his approach remains straightforward: provide intentional care, support sustainable health habits and help people function well in their everyday lives.
